May 2015 - Charity car wash in Aid of The Moira Fund

Visit by Bea and Hugh from The Moira FundIn May 2015, pupils at Lomond View participated in a charity car wash to generate funds in Aid of The Moira Fund.

The Moira Fund, a grant making charity, has been established in memory of Moira Jones, who was murdered in Queens Park, Glasgow, in May 2008. Following her death, family, friends and colleagues of Moira wished to establish a fund in her memory that would support others who found themselves bereaved through violent death at the hands of another.

The pupils washed all staff members cars and raised £50 and this was handed over personally to Moira's mum, who visited the school to talk to the pupils about the charity and its aims.
